Yesterday was Maddie's birthday. She's 5 now! (For those of you that don't know Maddie, she's Isaac's best friend, Chloe's big sister and Mike and Pam's daughter. I think that covers it.) It's almost as if a button clicked yesterday....Isaac and Maddie were so cooperative, it was like living in a parallel universe. No arguing or fighting, just sharing and taking turns all on their own. I can't wait til Isaac turns 5! They're really cute together. It almost is like they're dating at times. Yesterday they looked like an old married couple reading their books and talking together.Chloe and Timmy are also quite chummy. They're only 2 months apart in age, and are really starting to play together. Here they're quite proud to be sitting on bar stools at the counter. Pam is actually out of the picture holding on to Chloe, but Tim is sitting by himself on the stool!
This is Timmy at breakfast a few days ago. He suddenly loves to have his picture taken. He says "cheese" when you take his picture, then says "let me see" so he can see the picture on the digital camera. Then he usually kisses the "baby" in the picture. His personallity is really starting to shine through. So funny!
Last Saturday the boys were taking turns wearing my Gator hat, although I think Timmy had more turns than Isaac. He loves hats right now. I love that toasty look that the kids get in summer. I know they should probably wear sunscreen more often, but I rarely put it on them unless we go to the pool.

I am so tired! Maurice has been in Chicago all week, and the boys are running me ragged. I swear they talk in their room at night about how to tag-team me the next day. Last night I thought I was getting to bed at a relatively decent time (12:30) but Timmy woke up at 12:45 and wouldn't go back to sleep. I finally got him to lay down in my bed with me, but he just tossed and turned until 4:00. The only way he would sleep was if he was touching me at all times. That gets uncomfortable after a while! Anyhoo, he finally got back into a deep sleep at 4, but was up at 7. Maurice gets back Saturday.....I can't wait!

So I just have to write down Isaac's bedtime prayer before I forget. He's getting to the age where he likes to make up his own prayers instead of the old "Now I lay me down to sleep" thing. So tonight's prayer goes something like this: "Dear God, thank you for this day, and thank you for Mommy and Daddy and Timothy and Me. God, I really love you, and I know you're big. And God, You can come to my birthday party. Amen". Some days I don't know whether to laugh or cry, these boys are so sweet! In Timmy news, today he climbed up the ladder to the slide at the Barbers' house all by himself, and he made his first two-word combination: "No more". All but one of his eye teeth have poked through, and the other one is almost through! So the end of teething is in sight, at least until the 2-year molars!

Party!

As promised, here are some pictures from my birthday party Saturday night. My friends threw me a 70's disco/funk dance party. It was such a blast! I love to dance, and I love disco music. It's My Birthday!

Today is my 30th Birthday! So wish me happy thoughts. My little sisters Grace and Rachel flew in tonight from Tampa to spend the weekend with me. My friends are throwing me a disco dance party tomorrow night. Should be tons of fun! I promise to post pictures.

Hallelujah! I am back online, now with road-runner and it takes an amazing 30 seconds to upload pictures! Amazing compare to the 25 minutes it took with dial-up. Now all I have to do is wait for the new USB cord for my camera that I lost during the move to arrive so I can retrieve my pictures. You will all be amazed at the way my boys have grown! This picture is actually from February (notice the Valentine's day themed clothes). they're so huge now and acting so grown up. Isaac spends his days keeping me in line and making sure I use no bad words (like "stupid" or "butt"). He loves to bust me! And Timothy spends his days beating up on Isaac (and me). Thank God I have an appointment with the pediatrician on Thursday so I can get some advice on how to deal with my little bruiser (literally. he pinched me today on my upper arm and left quite a mark). He's os cute, though, and loves to flash his dimples at anyone that will ooh and ahh over him. Such a ham....I wonder where he gets that from?? Probably his father...
