Timmy is 2!

Yesterday was Timmy's 2nd birthday. My, how the time does fly! We had a little party Sunday with a few friends. Here he is blowing out his candles. He knew just what to do!

Hugging his best friend Chloe goodbye. They're so cute together!
Timmy, Isaac, and Nana (who's here for the week....yay!)
The birthday boy in his elmo shirt....notice a theme here?

Nana and Isaac. The boys have been stoked (am I old enough to be using that word?) about my mom being here. Timmy is starting to understand that Nana is a person, not a banana. Tonight he even told her goodnight. He does this whole "Bye, Love you!" thing that is so adorable.

Isaac and Timmy love playing on the slide in the basement. Here they are hanging out one morning last week. Isaac looks like he has a cool-aid mouth, but he licks his lips so much the skin around them is all chapped.

This is the only picture I took of the boys on Halloween. Timmy dressed up as Buzz Lightyear and Isaac dressed up as Spiderman. I totally forgot to take pictures when we went out trick-or-treating. Not the only thing I forgot that day........I forgot to send Isaac's bus pass to school with him, so we couldn't find him for about 45 minutes. I don't usually work Tuesdays, so I forgot that I would need to send a bus pass so the day care could pick him up from school. The school put him on the bus, and the bus driver let him off at home, even though nobody was here (they're not supposed to do that with kindergarteners). He went over to a neighbor's house like the smart kid that he is. Unfortunately, I did not know that and was pretty freaked out for a while. The neighbors just moved here from Montreal and the only phone number the bus company had was their Candian cell phone number (which they weren't answering). So I couldn't call the neighbor to see if he was there. Meanwhile, the director of the day care mapquested my house and came over personally to look for Isaac. Thank God for an awesome day care! They found him playing quite nicely with our neighbor....not upset at all. He takes most everything in stride. Crisis averted. But taking pictures of costumes was the last thing on my mind that night. Just glad my baby was safe and sound.

Speaking of my baby.........Here's my Rivers baby. Already drinking out of the bottle! Sorry, Mom, it's Pepsi, not Coke.

Last night we had some quality cuddle time. I've been working so much lately, I just don't feel like I've been able to spend much down time with my boys. Maurice had a meeting, so last night the boys and I cuddled up under a blanket on the couch, ate popcorn and watched Aladdin. We had a great time! I even let the boys go to bed a little later than usual (8:15, so not too late!) so that we could watch the entire movie. Such a treat........they're usually only allowed to watch half a movie on weeknights. We reaped the benefits today, though; everyone was in a much better mood after our cuddle time last night.

Today I had to buy a lock for the refrigerator door. Timmy can now open the door by himself. This morning he got out a gallon of milk and a jug of apple cider. He's so funny......he just stands in front of the refrigerator with the door open and says "Hmmmm......" like he's trying to decide what to eat. Cute, but annoying.

Yeah, so life's crazy once again. I've been working a bit more than usual lately, so sorry I haven't updated the blog in a while. Maurice is in the middle of crazy holiday season, preparing for our church's annual Christmas concert in December. He's all busy picking out and arranging music for his choir, orchestra and bands. Isaac is just about ready for college (I now know it's your abdomen, not your belly, silly!) and Timmy is just as charming and challenging as always. That's us in a nutshell!
