For New Year's we went to Boston to see Maurice's family. His brother Matt lives with his family in Upton, right outside of Boston. We had such a great time. It was good to see his dad, Fran, as he was unable to come toTimmy's birthday/baby dedication in November.

New Year's Eve we went into Boston for dinner and saw the parade and fireworks. It was the first time Isaac (and Timmy, for that matter) had seen fireworks or a parade. It was also the first time they rode the subway, which was a huge deal for Isaac. He loves trains. It was a beautiful evening. It started snowing during the parade, and everything was white and beautiful. Just magical. We were quite cold, though.

We celebrated Christmas (a week late) with Maurice's family while we were there. The kids loved being with Grandma and Grandpa. They just couldn't get enough. It was so great to see Grandpa playing on the floor with all the grandkids. Those are the times I live for. It's what I miss most about living in Florida (yes, even more than the warm weather). I just wish we could be closer to family.....for the boys to be able to see their grandparents and aunts and uncles more.

All the children enjoyed storytime with Grandma. One evening Matt got out his guitar and we all sang songs with the kids. It was a riot! Matt introduced us to "The Popcorn Song" and Isaac hasn't stopped singing it yet. He's even taught it to his friends so they can sing it together. And Shelli brought Madagascar for us to all watch together. Hilarious! We're already looking forward to the next time we all get together.
